The Firmware 3.30 for PSP supported videos with a resolution of 720 x 480 pixel.
The max. BitRate is 1500 kbps (but 768 kbps is enough)

The videos saved in: ms0:\VIDEO\

Hope there is a way to record with this resolution.

We it will not support 720x480, but it is still compatible.  We tested the 3.50 with the Recorder 2, and it still works like a charm.

And there wont be anymore firmware updates for the Recorder 2, we are not sure if its concrete, but right now we are working on the OSD.

So does that mean no SUPER FINE mode for PSP via recorder 2?

Most portables will have setting for "full screen" playback, and they will stretch, zoom, or crop the original file to fit the screen.  PSP's don't have this? I'm surprised, Sony usually has all the extra little bells and whistles in their products.

The R2 is a great little basic recorder, but as devices and technologies changes, 16:9 widescreen is the new standard, that's why Sony updated their firmware due to customer demand. If you upgrade to the OSD, you can get 16:9 recording at different bitrates. I'm giving away my R2 this Christmas.
