4GB CF okay?

Some CF cards do, some don't.

I have a 4GB CF card in my Neuros... it works; records & plays back fine, but it is incredibly slow to transfer files. I'm not sure if that's more my CF card (generic brand my dad bought off of eBay) or if it's the Neuros.

I bought a 4 Gbyte Duo Pro Card and it works beautifully.
