Thanks MattJ, IP address work well for me, I am using static too. good work!
With your default conf file 4 folders are shared under Home network group: media, sd, usb and printers and faxes. but the sd is only accessible from media folder.
Fixed. Also I added CF, if anybody uses that
One thing worth memtioning is that lpkg control sambaserver stop/start command always returns a failing message even though the command is executed. I was confused for a while there.
Sorry about that, should be fixed.
one more thing, Is there anyway samberserver can be started everytime osd reboot?
This is something I am looking at putting in Lpkg, if we can agree on a way of setting things up. At the moment the OSD executes one script, and to save having to parse/write this script (there may be user stuff in there already) I think it would be best to have a folder of startup scripts.
All that aside, for now, you can add this to /mnt/OSD/rc.user (create it if it doesn't exist):
(cd `lua -e "dofile('/mnt/OSD/registry.lua.dat'); print(registry['lpkg.paths.root'])"`; . ./setup.sh; lpkg control sambaserver start;) &
You can use nano to do the above, lpkg install nano, nano /mnt/OSD/rc.user, paste that line, Ctrl+o, Ctrl+x
Hope this helps Edit:
Sorry, I forgot to say, to get the fixes I just added, you should run:
lpkg refresh && lpkg upgrade
