I have a Toshiba 46" LCD HDTV (model46HM95) . The manual states: "NEVER CONNECT THIS TV TO A PERSONAL COMPUTER."   I understand the LINK is basically a computer.  Any opinions about the safety of connecting the two?

This is a very strange warning, I really don't know what the motivation for it is.  I haven't heard of anything like this before.  Thoughts anyone?

Are you sure you have the right model number or that its an LCD? Toshiba 46HM95 is a model number of a DLP Projection TV. Still doesn't explain the wierd warning...

Someone else posted this question:
"My 46" Toshiba DLP Projection TV specifically says in the manual not to hook your computer up to it. Any idea why?"

He got this answer:  "AC, They tell you that because the TV doesn't support the standard PC resolutions. So it won't work unless you use a custom resolution on the PC. My Mitsubishi says the same thing but it works fine when I feed it 1080i."

So, can someone explain how that is done with the LINK hookup?

The link is supposed to output 1080 by default via the HDMI... that was not the case for me, I had to hook it up via the VGA connector but even then it used a standard HD (720) resolution.

Worst case scenario - It does not work at all, but I would be really surprised if it actually does any damage to anything. Someone else uses a media center pc with it just fine -
